Summer Pineapple Square top– full written pattern and charts

Hello,

Summer is coming very fast again and I think there are never enough pineapple tops.
I made pattern for a very nice Summer pineapple square top.
For this top, size M, with sleeves (you can make it sleeveless as well) I used 400g of soft baby acrylic yarn suitable for G/4mm hook.
The choice of the material is up to you. I suggest you make one square, check the size, use smaller or bigger hook to achieve cca 12 x 12cm (4,8’’ x 4,8’’) square. You can make the top smaller or bigger by using different size of the hook.
The tops back and front are crocheted by joining flower motives. The sleeves are crocheted in rounds.

There are many pictures and few charts to help guide you through the crocheting, and supporting the written pattern. I do believe this pattern is suitable for a dedicated beginner as well.

Pineapple square motive – full written pattern, chart

Hello,
Today I would like to share with you a pattern for an unusual pineapple square motive. The square has got a very multi-purpose use. I’m definitely going to use it to make some kind of top in future.
The motive can be part of a blanket, or any kind of top, even a purse. You can use any type of material you desire, and will suite your purposes. The size of the final square depends very much on the size of hook you will use.
I suggest to you, to make one square as a sample and take measurements before you are going to start any future project.

There are pictures to help guide you through the crocheting, and supporting the written pattern for this square motive. I have added a chart as well. It may even be helpful with learning to read the charts.
I’m also confident that this written pattern is suitable for a dedicated beginner as well.

I am providing the pattern for this motive for a very symbolic price only, and you can find it here:

Long Pineapple Coat/Duster – full written pattern

Hi,
I found pictures of this jacket or duster and I fell in love with it. I was searching for the pattern since around Christmas time and I had to give up. I couldn’t find one.

I didn’t have any other choice so I made my own pattern. I only had four pictures from Pinterest that I could work with. It took me over a month of trying, crocheting and unraveling and crocheting again. It is not an exact copy of the jacket on the picture, because I couldn’t see all of it on the photos, but I think I got very close. What do you think?

I used anti-pilling baby acrylic yarn, but I think you can use any yarn you like for this project.

Since the shape of the coat is meant to be loose, so t fits most sizes. You can vary the size of your coat by using different types of material and size of hooks.

I’m confident the written pattern is suitable for a dedicated beginner as well.

White flower top – full written pattern

Hello,

Summer is coming very fast and I think a flower top like this could come in handy. The pattern is written for a sleeveless top, a top with sleeves and even for a dress -3 in 1. To crochet the top is not as time consuming as my pineapple patterns usually are. You can see the progress very fast.

For this top with sleeves I used 220g of cotton (100g = 416meters) suitable for E/3,5 mm hook, but I used a little bit bigger crochet hook than suggested - G/4mm.
The neckline and cuffs are crocheted by joining flower motives. The body and sleeves are crocheted in rounds. The crochet stitch is a bit stretchy, that way the pattern can be used for more sizes S, M, L. You will find the adjustments for larger sizes XL and XXL within the full written pattern as well.
There are many pictures to help guide you through the crocheting, and supporting the written pattern. I do believe this pattern is suitable for a dedicated beginner as well.

Hippie style Bolero

Hi,
The written pattern I have for you today is quick and easy to make. It is a beginner’s very friendly pattern. It is not as time consuming as some of my other pineapple patterns. It’s truly easy breezy work in front of the TV and the final bolero is eye-catching.

Top with flower – written pattern

Hello,
I’m terribly sorry I’m not posting as often as I used to. I’m not trying to neglect it, but I have now started a full time job. It’s harder than I thought to co-ordinate a job, my family/child duties and my hobbies without any help. Something had to give for a little while. It had to be crocheting and posting, but I do have serious withdrawal symptoms. I hope I will find soon a more acceptable way to organize everything, mainly that tiny bit of my personal time I’m left with now. I’m admiring every one of you who can. I will get there soon, I hope.
*************************************************

Never less I do have a new pattern for you. I really do like this flower motive. I did try to follow a few charts I found, but the flower never ended up the way I like and the shape of the top didn’t work out either.
So, I made this one. I hope you will like it. I think it is an easy to follow written pattern that a dedicated beginner can make as well. When I tried it, I followed the pattern and it was much easier than actually designing and writing the pattern for it.

I made my top in very plain color, so you can see the pattern well. The variations of colors are endless.

There are many pictures to help guide you through the crocheting, and supporting the written pattern for this top.

Pineapple top written pattern, chart

Hello,
I’m getting many requests for a written pattern for this pineapple top. I made one around half year ago, but I found out there were a few mistakes in it. I’m terribly sorry, and it has taken me a long time to fix it., but now it is correct. In the last fortnight I have been crocheting another top, rewriting the pattern for it, and making sure I have got the written pattern right.

I have made a brand new, correct pattern with many pictures to help guide you through the crocheting, and supporting the written pattern for this top.
I’m adding the charts as well. It may be easier for some to compare it with the written pattern while working.

Pineapple skirt

Hello everybody, I know I have been a little longer than usual. Thank you for your patience. I was trying to finish a skirt and the pattern for the skirt so I could share it with you. And here it is:

The Pineapple skirt pattern

The size really depends on the type of material and size of hook you are using. You can vary the size by using a different type of material and size of hook.
The one I made (on the picture) is cca 80cm (32”) long and cca 95cm (38”) around the hips.

You need:
I used 300g – 350g of acrylic yarn (It’s better if you are using yarn with some elastic in it – it’ll give the skirt a nicer form, than 100% cotton. It will make the skirt fit better as well).
Crochet hook 3mm
Yarn Needle
16 little beads (optional)

Terms/Abbreviations: I used US terminology
ch          chain
slst         slip stitch
sc          single crochet
dc          double crochet
st           stitch
3dctog.  3 dc together
2dctog.  2 dc together

Note: Please read all the instructions first, so you can choose which way you want to make your skirt.

Skirt
At first I made 8 pineapple squares. One square measures cca 12cm (4,8”). See the chart bellow. It is all depending on size of your skirt. The pattern can be use for any even or odd amount of squares.

When I had all the squares I needed, I sewed them together – backstitch only. The other option is to join them together with sc’s if you like. You should end up with sort of circle made out of squares.

Top part of the skirt
Work the top of the skirt in rounds. Do not turn. Slip stitch on end of each round.
I started with the top part of the skirt, but it’s really up to you if you will work the way I did. Use the
“chart no.1” you can see above, how to make the top of the skirt. After row 1 following this chart you should have 280 dc’s around. And just keep following the chart. Fasten of. Weave the ends.

Lower part of the skirt
Work the lower part of the skirt in rounds as well. Do not turn. Slip stitch on end of each round. Use slip stitch on end of each round to get where you need to be to start next round. Start with row/round of dc’c same as with the top of the skirt – 280dc’s – backstitch only. The pineapple pattern is repeating every 20 stitches. You should end up with 14 pineapple motives. To start, follow row/round 1 and 2 from the
“chart no. 2” you can see below. After finishing row 2 work rows/rounds 3 – 10 from “chart no.3” below. Afterwards repeat rounds 1-10 from “chart no.3” as many times as needed to obtain the length of the skirt you desire. Finish your work on lower part of the skirt with round 6 of the “chart no.3” – you should have 14 unfinished pineapple motives. Fasten of. Weave the ends.

Lower edge of the skirt
Now we are going to be finishing the pineapple motives. Start each pineapple motive from the right side of the skirt/work. From now on you’ll be turning your work back and forth on the end of each round!!!!
Follow the “chart no.4” above. Start with round 7.
As you can see on the pictures I added a little bead on end of each pineapple. That is optional.

Drawstring through the top of the skirt
I just thought it would look nice to put a drawstring with pineapples through the top of my skirt. It can be used to hold the skirt up if needed as well. To do it, I used the pattern for earrings you can find here.

There it is. You should have nice skirt now, or an inspiration for one at least.
To my knowledge this is as best way I can explain how to make this pineapple skirt.
I hope you can understand me, however if you come up with any problems or difficulties, write to me, and I’ll be more than happy to help, or explain further.
Have a nice week
