Beach colored scarf- full written pattern

Size: (this scarf) approx. 160cm (64’’) top, 80 cm (32’’) high.

You can vary the size of your scarf by using different type of material and size of hook and/or adding/taking off the rows.

You need: (for this size scarf)

I used “YarnArt – flowers moonlight” 1 ball (the ball is designed for crocheting / knitting one scarf) – 260m/1000g

E/3,5mm hook, yarn needle, markers – optional

The pictures and chart are there to help guide you through the crocheting, and supporting the written pattern for this scarf. I think a patient and dedicated beginner will manage as well. I think it is nice and easy project which will not take more than few evenings and the outcome is gorgeous.

I am providing the pattern for this scarf for a szmbolic price only and you can find it here:

Have a nice day

A Little trip to Prague

I had to take a little trip to Prague (capital of Czech Republic). It’s around 400 km away from where we live, right on the other side of this country. I would like to share with you a few photos I made. If you are interested in more information or photos of Prague, there is a link to information page: http://www.prague.eu/cs/objekty/mista

Charles bridge

 Old Town square

All the colors around gave me some inspiration, and I made this market bag.

Market bag in “Desiqual” design pattern

Size: Cca 38cm x 38cm (15” x 15”), handle cca 55cm (22”)
The size really depends on type of material and size of the hook you are using, which is up to you.
One square 12,5cm ( 5”)

You need:
I used 200 grams (7 oz – 500 meters – 546 yards) of Himalaya Everyday Anti-pilling 100% acrylic
For the assembling and the flower I used cca 25 grams of (120 meters) of Red Heart Margareta
Crochet hook E/3,5mm

Terms/Abbreviations: I used US terminology
ch       chain
slst      slip stitch
sc        single crochet
dc       double crochet
st        stitch

Purse body:

You need to make 16 squares. I used classic full granny squares, but feel free to use any kind of square with any design. One square I made measured cca 12,5cm ( 5”) but again it’s up to you how big or small you’ll make the square.
Start with a magic ring or ch4 - join with slst.
1st round: Ch 3 ( count as dc )– 2dc into the ring, ch2 - 3dc into the ring, ch2 - 3dc into the ring, ch2 - 3dc into the ring, ch2, slst. into 3rd ch from first ch 3, do not turn.
2nd round: Ch 3 ( count as dc ), dc in next 2 st, 2dc – ch2 – 2dc in ch2 from previous round (corner), dc in next 3 st, 2dc – ch2 – 2dc in ch2 from previous round (corner), dc in next 3 st, 2dc – ch2 – 2dc in ch2 from previous round (corner), dc in next 3 st, 2dc – ch2 – 2dc in ch2 from previous round (corner), slst. into 3rd ch from first ch 3, do not turn.
3rd – 4th – 5th – 6th – 7th rounds: follow schema from 2nd round
On my bag I made 7 rounds.

Assembling:
I crocheted the squares together, using contrasting color yarn, with sc from the right side of the bag. I have to admit I had a little trouble to imagine how my bag will look, so I safety pinned it together before assembling.

For assembling you can also use technique I found here.

Handle:

For the 55cm (22”) I crochet 121 ch, sc into second ch from the hook and sc in each following ch. I made 4 rows of sc’s – the handle is around 2,5cm wide. Fasten off. Make the second, then sew or crochet the handles to the bag,

Finishing:
Make one or two rows of sc’s around the handles and the top of the bag.

You can add a little flower I found here.

Pattern: crocodile flower

Ch 7,  slst. to the first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1 : *Ch 10, slst. into the ring*, repeat from * to*, join with slst. in first ch – (7 times –10ch loop)
Rnd 2 : *sc, hdc, 8 dc, ch 2, 8 dc, hdc, sc* in each 10ch-loop, around, join with slst. in first sc. Fasten off. – (7 petals)
Put a nice button to the middle.

If you come up with any problems or difficulties, write to me, and I’ll be more than happy to help.

Have a nice week

A Little Spa holiday

Every summer holiday my little daughter and myself are visiting the Spa Town of Luhacovice for few days. We are very fortunate we are living only half and hours drive away. It’s an amazing little spa town with 15 thousands litrs of mineral water reaching the surface there every day, containing a large amount of dissolved mineral elements, with several natural springs. These are successfully easing people’s problems with bronchitis and asthma. The kids programs especially are very successful here.
So far there are 17 detected sodium hydrocarbonate acidulous springs and one sulphurous spring bubble, containing many dissolved mineral elements, particularly sodium, calcium, magnesium, chlorine, bromine, iodine, carbonic acid, dissolved carbon dioxide. The temperature of the spring water is between 10 - 12 °C. (I was being Google smart here.)
The architecture of the town is very interesting and unique as well, as you will see from the pictures below.
Anyhow the two of us just coming here to have a fun – mainly swimming, taking long walks, trying to taste every spring and playing.

***************************************************************

Just to stay in good mood I made for you a pattern for mandala wheel.

Mandala /coaster chart

You need:
The size of the coaster or mandala really depends on you.
The Pot holder on picture: has a diameter 26cm (10,4”)
The Coaster on picture: has a diameter 18cm (7,2”)
All together I used cca 70g of 100% acrylic yarn suitable for E/3,5mm crochet hook
Yarn Needle, markers

Circle
Work the mandala or coaster in rounds. Do not turn. Slip stitch on end of each round; use chain stitches on the start of each new round (count as sc or dc).
Start with magic ring or ch5 – slipstitch into first chain to form a ring.
Follow the chart.

Have a nice week
